Guardianship/ Conservatorship
Here at Dunn Law Firm LLC, our attorney can help you set up a guardianship or conservatorship. A guardianship
is a process that the probate court set up that allows you to be appointed over another person if, for example, they lost mental capacity and cannot make their own mental decisions or day to day healthcare decisions. When a person cannot make financial decisions due to their poor mental or physical state, a conservatorship
can be established to cover that person’s property and finances. With a conservatorship, a judge appoints a guardian to manage the financial affairs or the daily life of that person, whether they be young or old. Attorney Tobin R. Dunn, we can determine if you can receive this representation without formal judicial involvement.

Adult Guardianships/ Conservatorship
When children turn 18 (parent’s natural legal guardian), parents no longer have power of attorney over that child. If a child is not able to make legal, financial decisions after they turn 18, then the parent can request a guardianship or conservatorship to be able to make those decisions for them.
